East Anchorage District Plan Land Use Plan Map (December 2014) 

March 10, 2015 

On December 2, 2014, the Anchorage Assembly approved the East Anchorage District Plan with amendments as outlined in AO No. 2014-139(S). 

October 10, 2014 

The  March 2014 Public Hearing Draft of the East Anchorage District Plan was approved with amendments by the Planning and Zoning Commission on August 4, 2014.  The plan and proposed amendments (PZC Resolution No. 2014-044) will be forwarded to the Anchorage Assembly with a recommendation for adoption.  The Plan will be scheduled for public hearing before the Assembly sometime in the fall.

April 10, 2014 

The East Anchorage District Plan Public Hearing Draft (PZC Case No. 2014-0064) is now available.  It is scheduled to go before the Planning and Zoning Commission for hearing on Monday, June 2, 2014, at 6:30 p.m. in the Assembly Chambers of the Z. J. Loussac Library, 3600 Denali Street.   

The East Anchorage District Plan (EADP) is a vital step-down plan that will bridge the gap between the vision and goals set forth in Anchorage 2020 and the implementation elements necessary to make that vision a reality.  The municipal planning process on the plan began over two years ago in March 2012.

The Community Development Department is now seeking comments on the East Anchorage District Plan Public Hearing Draft.

  • FOR CORRECTION:  Please note the following that will need to be corrected on the land use map on page 26 (Chapter 4): 

    The entire area of Lot 1, Creekside Park Subdivision, Addition #2, on the north side of the intersection of Old Harbor Road and Muldoon Road, should be yellow – for low-intensity residential land use.  The final map will reflect this designation.
