Anchorage Memorial Park

Welcome to the Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery.

This is where some of Alaska's most notable sons and daughters are buried and where we honor our glorious history. The cemetery was established by President Woodrow Wilson in 1915 and the 22 acres includes private Tracts and public Tracts.

The Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery serves as a tribute to the many people who have made Alaska famous throughout the world. Please join us at the Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery and revisit a part of the heritage of Anchorage and Alaska.

Columbarium Wall

The Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery Columbarium Wall was dedicated on Memorial Day 2003. This impressive structure, constructed of concrete and covered completely in granite, contains 3861 niches that will hold over 9000 urns of cremated remains.  This burial option affords the community an alternative to traditional burial.  Niches are designed in three sizes comprised of the Single Niche, Companion Niche and the Family Niche.  This new addition to our community provides an attractive location where we can place our loved ones’ remains and return time and again to honor their lives.
