Alaska Railroad shares "Rail Safety Tips for Bicyclists"

Bike to Work promotes the frequency and safety of utility cycling to improve air quality, traffic congestion and personal health. And Anchorage is beautiful by bike!

Anchorage's 10th annual Bike to Work Day is Wednesday, June 4th, 2014!

May 7, 2014 is Bike to School Day. Ask at your child's school whether they will be hosting an event. In 2013 Anchorage had the second highest number of participating schools in the U.S.

Bike to Work assembled some fun and valuable bike safety resources for parents, teachers and students in preparation for Bike to School. See a list of suggestions

Do you want to be a better, safer cyclist?

League of American Bicyclists Instructors offer LAB classes and presentations locally. Call or contact Anne Schlapia (907) 343-4715 / biketowork@muni.org  if you or your group of workmates, neighbors or friends are interested in a class, clinic or presentation.

Thank you to all who attended the 'Silver City Celebration' on May 29th to celebrate Anchorage's Silver level Bicycle Friendly Community award from the League of American Bicyclists.

2013: What a Bike to Work Day! Commuters triumph over condtions (rain, snow and temperatures in the 30s)!
