The AMATS Policy Committee released the Public Review Draft of the 2035 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) on October 1, 2011 for a 30 day public comment period. Based on a review of the public comments, a Public Hearing Draft version of the MTP was released by the AMATS Policy Committee on December 15, 2011.The MTP is the blueprint that guides the development and implementation of needed improvements to the transportation system of the Anchorage Bowl and Chugiak-Eagle River. The Plan contains short-range (2011 - 2023) and long-range recommendations (2024 - 2035) for roadway, transit, bike, pedestrian and trails.
