NOTICE OF MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY PUBLIC HEARINGS:
The Assembly of the Municipality of Anchorage will hold a public hearing on the following legislation at a special meeting of April 16, 2025. The public hearing portion of the meeting begins at 1:00 p.m. and is held in the Assembly Conference Room, City Hall, 632 W. 6th Avenue, Room 155:
Ordinance No. AO 2025-47, an ordinance of the Municipality of Anchorage, Alaska, providing for, authorizing and approving the issuance of port revenue bonds and/or notes for the Municipality in one or more series in the aggregate principal amount outstanding at any time of not to exceed one billion one hundred two million seven hundred thirty-five thousand dollars ($1,102,735,000) for the purpose of providing funds to refinance certain outstanding debt and to provide for additional funds for future capital improvements and related financing expenses of the Port of Alaska, and appropriating the proceeds of such bonds and/or notes to the Port of Alaska Capital Improvement Fund (570800). Ordinance No. AO 2025-51, an ordinance of the Anchorage Assembly approving the crane-use agreement between the Municipality of Anchorage / Don Young Port of Alaska, and Matson Navigation Company of Alaska, LLC to state the terms of operation for the cranes located at the Don Young Port of Alaska cargo terminals, and easement and license included therein. How to Testify: The Assembly receives public comments during Audience Participation, as well as public testimony on all open public hearing items.
The public may participate in person, through written comments, or by phone. There is no sign-up for in-person testimony - the Chair will invite the public to speak on a first come basis during the Assembly Meeting. Please do not sign up to provide phone testimony if you plan to attend in person.
