During last night's Regular Assembly Meeting, the Anchorage Assembly voted unanimously to certify the 2025 Regular Municipal Election and welcomed new members as they were sworn into office:
- Assembly Member Erin Baldwin Day was elected to represent District 4, Midtown, replacing Former Assembly Member Meg Zaletel, who served two full three-year terms.
- Assembly Member Jared Goecker was elected to represent District 2, Eagle River, Chugiak, and JBER, replacing Former Assembly Member Mark Littlefield, who served for one year in a partial term following the resignation of Former Assembly Member Kevin Cross.
- Assembly Member Keith McCormick was elected by District 6, South Anchorage, Girdwood, and the Turnagain Arm to replace Former Assembly Member Randy Sulte, who served one full three-year term.
- Assembly Member Yarrow Silvers was elected to represent District 5, East Anchorage, replacing Former Assembly Member Karen Bronga, who served for two years in a partial term vacated by Former Assembly Member Forrest Dunbar.
Upon being sworn into office, the new members cast their first votes in an election of Chair and Vice Chair by secret ballot per AMC 2.30.010.D2. Assembly Member Christopher Constant was elected to serve as Chair, with Assembly Member Anna Brawley as Vice Chair.
