Stanley Wright to Oversee Community Systems at AHD
May 10, 2022 (Anchorage) – This week, the Anchorage Health Department (AHD) welcomed Stanley Wright as the department's new Community Systems program manager. In his role, Stanley will manage critical grant funding for housing programs, including Community Development Block Grants, the HOME Investment Partnership Program, and Emergency Solutions Grants.
“A cohesive affordable housing strategy must be a key element of any plan to address homelessness in Anchorage," said Anchorage Public Health Director Joe Gerace. “With deep connections to his community and a long record of compassionate public service, Stanley Wright will be an excellent asset to our team."
As principal administration officer, Stanley will lead AHD's Community Systems team, coordinating with the Aging and Disability Resource Center, Housing and Homeless Services, the Housing, Homeless and Neighborhood Development Commission, and AHD's external housing partners to ensure that Anchorage is receiving the maximum return from its federal housing dollars.
Stanley previously served as special assistant to Governor Mike Dunleavy, where he managed community outreach and liaised with the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs.
