Disc Golf Study Project Information
Parks & Recreation established an advisory group to assist the Department with 2 goals:
- Meet the demand for disc golf by identifying criteria to select locations for additional courses in Municipal parks
- Define management expectations for disc golf in Municipal parks
The advisory group is comprised of Parks & Recreation Commissioners, the Parks & Recreation Department, neighbors of Westchester Disc Golf Course, and local disc golf players. Four to six meetings are planned to create a design and management guide that will identify key criteria for the location of disc golf facilities and recommend management strategies for how these facilities can be successfully operated in our parks.
This project site will be updated regularly with meeting summaries, project documents, and public involvement opportunities.
