About KFQD Park (10349 Bayshore Dr.)
KFQD Park is an 8-acre park located in the Bayshore/Klatt neighborhood in south Anchorage, across the street from Bayshore Elementary School. The park currently features a picnic shelter, play equipment for 2-5 year olds, an open field area, and a paved trail connecting Bayshore Dr. to Admiralty Bay Dr.
In 2021, Anchorage voters passed a Park Bond allocating $400,000 in funding for community-defined improvements to this park, including a renovated playground, upgraded amenities and improved Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) access.
The community values the natural, undeveloped feel of this park. Based on public feedback, the site improvements will focus on improving drainage in the open field, upgrading the play equipment, adding a short bike loop near the play area, and upgrading seating and amenities around the picnic shelter.
