The on-line case information references elimination of a drop-off child care yard requirement. I was informed that the petition is being made for an extended-care facility. What is the real petition issue? I'm very opposed to opening up this neighborhood to any measureable increases of business traffic for either of the above causes! The access road, Azalea, is steep and as all the "residential roads" here, it is gravel and very narrow. I usually stop on the extreme right edge going up the hill to allow head-on traffic to pass during the winter. I drive an ordinary Ford F-350 CrewCab... business delivery vehicles or larger & wider passenger delivery vehicles are not practical on these roads and there are not any turn-arounds. The residences are on their own wells and septic systems. Has the petitioner researched the impact of more use on the surrounding lots drainage and water supply? Will the MOA cover the remediation/repair costs if the P & Z folks approve this petition against a neighbor property owner. Will this "business" devalue all of the surrounding properties or do we leave this up to lawyers? thanx, jfs | |

I am opposed to this. I recently had such a facility near my home. I think greater oversite should be given these facilities. The one that was in my neighborhood showed no respect for the neighborhood. Children left toys where they dropped them and the street was always cluttered by trash from people dropping off not only their children but also their trash from their vehicles onto the street. |
