I am opposed to the construction of a "hammerhead" turnaround at the end of East 6th Avenue where it dead ends. Years ago, the small parking area near the end of the dead end, was larger and there were many problems with people partying there (drinking, making-out, etc.) until the wee hours of the morning. The city took out the bigger parking area (neighbors complained) and this kind of activity stopped. Making a "hammerhead" turnaround will facilitate this kind of activity once again. It will provide a nice, little out-of-view place for partying. I would strongly suggest you either make no turnaround or one which doesn't have any kind of a cut-back, to the north and south, any further than what is already there. You could just leave it as is and put up a sign that says "Dead End - No Turnaround". I feel this would stop the previous problem from reoccuring. Also, putting a sidewalk on the north side of East 6th from Oklahoma to the dead end is, quite frankly, a waste of money. It is not necessary as there is a very big sidewalk on the south side of the street which satisfactorily accommodates pedestrians. Thank you for the opportunity to comment. Sincerely, Ms. Terry Cummings
