I am speaking out against the extension of Elmore between Abbott and O'Malley. The quality of life in our neighborhood is extremely good and this needless road will simply step on that quality of life for no appreciable improvement in transportation capabilities for Anchorage motorists. The area is used recreationally by cyclists, walkers, runners, equestrians, etc. Also, the road extension will be extremely expensive due to the terrain of the area putting an excessive amount of tax dollars out there for little or no public good. North south corridors already exist at Lake Otis, Birch, Hillside, old and New Seward. Another one simply is not warranted. Dan Boyette

I have lived directly adjacent the north side of Little Campbell creek since 1983. Housing and traffic have increased significantly over the forgoing years and are especially felt at the bottle necks of both Elmore and Abbott as well as at Elmore and OMalley Road intersects. Until widening both Abbott and Omalley for improved traffic flow, to open Elmore between OMalley and Abbott would excaberate the problem of clogged intersections and flow of traffic akin to the old Lake Otis/ Tudor traffic back up. This, in a residential and much used and appreciated park setting as now. Thanks.

Please delete the Elmore Road extension Abbottt to Omalley from the CIP list. This is a bad idea and would really alter the lives of people living on Elmore. We have a peaceful neighborhood now and do not wish to have our quiet street turned into a major road.
