Members of the public are permitted to fly remote control aircraft in two designated areas within the Municipality - Storck Park in Anchorage and Loretta French Park RC Airstrip in Chugiak.
Anyone flying a remote control aircraft is required to carry liability insurance to cover all activities. Insurance is most easily attained through membership in either the Alaska Radio Control Society (Anchorage) or the Frontier Fun Flyers (Chugiak). Hours for flying remote control aircraft at each park are listed below.
Storck Park: 8am-3pm Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday

B. No person shall operate miniature aircraft in a park except in those areas designated for such use by the director and in accordance with chapter 15.70
C. No person shall operate a miniature motorized boat in a park except in those areas designated for such use by the director in accordance with chapter 15.70
