COORDINATED TRANSPORTATION
Coordinated Human Services Transportation Plans (CHSTPs) help identify the transportation needs of seniors, people with disabilities, and those with low incomes. These plans suggest ways to meet those needs and help decide which services should be funded and put in place first. Federal law requires these plans for projects that want funding through the Enhanced Mobility for Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities (Section 5310). The CHSTP serves as a guide to improve local transportation services and coordination.
