Artists Registry
The Municipality of Anchorage's Public Art Program has a digital Artists Registry for artists interested in submitting their images to be used for Public Art Programs.
This registry serves as a resource for projects under the 1% for Public Art ordinance in Anchorage and several other districts and boroughs. Each artist’s file includes an artist statement, a current resume, ten (10) digital images, an image identification sheet, and the attached form.
Sometimes, rather than holding an open competition, an art selection jury may decide to have a limited competition or invite specific artists in specific art forms. In this case, the Artists Registry will be the primary resource for the members of the art selection juries and selected artists will be contacted based on the information present in their file. The public also has access to the Artists Registry upon appointment.
All professional artists currently residing and working in Alaska may apply to the Public Art Registry by filling out an application. All mediums are welcome.
The Public Art Program also manages an out of state registry for artists interested in working in Alaska. Often these images are shown to demonstrate examples of artwork beyond Alaska. Please use the same form and your information will be place in that registry.
