2024 REAL PROPERTY TAX
NOTICES TO BE MAILED BY JUNE 1
The Municipality's 2024 real property tax notices will be mailed by June 1.
Taxes on real property are due on June 30 or may be paid in two separate payments with the first half due June 30 (Late penalty assessed July 8) and the second half due August 31 (Late penalty assessed September 8). Payments are considered timely if made in-person or postmarked by the U.S. Postal Service by the respective due dates.
Property owners will receive one billing which will contain the payment notices for both the first and second half taxes. You will not receive additional notification for the second payment due.
It is the property owners' responsibility to contact the Municipal Tax Office if they have not received a tax bill. Late payments are subject to a 10% penalty and interest at the rate of 10.00% per annum.
Payments may be mailed to the Municipal Tax Office at P.O. Box 196040 Anchorage, AK 99519-6040, made in-person at City Hall, 632 W. 6th Ave., Suite 330, or made via the internet. Checks should be made payable to MOA.

The Treasury Division of the Municipal Finance Department is responsible for billing, collecting and auditing the City's tax revenues. The Treasury Division practices fair, equitable, accurate and timely operating procedures in accordance with state and local taxation laws.
Tax revenues provide primary funding for city services of benefit to Anchorage residents, businesses and visitors, including:
