Radio, Cell Phone and Television Towers
- Commercial towers and antennas are regulated by AMC 21.05.040K. The types of towers are defined in AMC 21.05.040K.1.
- Commercial operators are required to notify all property owners within 500 feet of an antenna when it is first activated, and to resolve any complaints of interference. An administrative antenna permit is required for each service provider on a tower. Click here for the application.
- Amateur radio station towers and noncommercial receive-only antennas are exempt from the regulations of AMC 21.05.040K as long as they are in a residential zoning district, there is no use of the tower by a third party commercial antenna operator, and the antenna and tower structure are part of a federally-licensed amateur radio station.
