​Due to the amount of storm debris, both Wood Lots are open and free for Anchorage residents through the end of the month.

Anchorage Regional Landfill 15500 E. Eagle River Loop Road ​and the Central Wood Lot located across from the Central Transfer Station off 56th Ave. in Midtown between Old Seward Highway and Homer Drive. Email swcs@anchorageak.gov for any questions or clarifications. 


Winter Weather Update:
On inclement weather days, expect we will attempt our normal routes. If our trucks are unable to service your address, we will attempt to return the next day. Please email swcs@anchorageak.gov if you need special assistance. Thank you for your understanding.

As of March 22, 2024:  All Lithium Batteries must be disposed of at Household Hazardous Waste Facilities. Read the new SWS​ Policy, read the EPA FAQs, and the Lithium Battery Report, by the EPA. Have questions? Call our customer service team, 907-343-6250 or email swcs@anchorageak.gov
