We are recruiting for the following positions on the Local Emergency Planning Committee:
- Transportation
- Community Group
- Elected Official
- Media

About the Local Emergency Planning Committee:
The Anchorage LEPC seeks to uphold federal, state, and local laws pertaining to emergency/disaster planning and Community Right-to-Know reporting. The Anchorage LEPC is administered by the Municipality of Anchorage Office of Emergency Management.
We have committee members from the Municipality, the media, community groups and local healthcare agencies. It is important this group is diverse in order to validate emergency plans are fully developed and implemented.
The LEPC is a requirement by
Federal Law and
Alaska Statute due to an industrial accident in Bhopal, India.
