2025 Regular Municipal ElectionThe 2025 Regular Municipal Election will close at 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, April 1, 2025. Unofficial election results are posted after 8:30 p.m. on Election Day. Official election results are published after election certification by the Anchorage Assembly. Posting time varies, typically results will be posted by 6:30 p.m.
Tips for Reading Result ReportsIn an election, all scanned ballots are counted, but not every voter casts a vote for every race or question. When a voter skips a race or question, it's called an undervote, which is common.The results report calculates percentages based on the number of ballots scanned in the relevant district or service area, not the total number of votes cast for the question. While the results report indicates the total number of votes cast for each question, the percentage for each candidate or option on the report is determined by dividing the number of choice votes by the total number of ballots scanned with that question, including undervotes.
