APPEALS TO THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT:
New Code - Anchorage Municipal Code 21.03.050 Appeals
1. Under AMC 21.03.050A, any municipal agency or any party of interest for the application, as defined in AMC 21.15, may appeal a decision made by the Planning and Zoning Commission, the Platting Board, or the Urban Design Commission to the Board of Adjustment. Any party of interest shall first file with the Planning Director, within 7 days of the board or commission's decision made on the record, a written notice of intent to appeal.
2. The Planning Director shall prepare proposed written findings of fact and decision to submit to the board or commission.
3. Following the approval of the written findings of fact and decision, any party may, within 20 days, file a Notice of Appeal to the Board of Adjustment to the Planning Director.
Appellees before the board: Within 10 days after the deadline for filing an appeal, an appellee shall file a notice of intent to file a brief with the Assembly Counsel's Office and serve a copy of the notice on all appellants.
To perfect an appeal, the applicant must file a Notice of Appeal to the Board of Adjustment with the Director of Planning and pay the appeal fee and deposit.
Notice of Appeal to the Board of Adjustment Form - This form must be filed with the Director of Planning.
Notice of Intent to File a Brief Form - This form must be filed with Assembly Counsel's Office.

Notice of Appeal to the Zoning Board of Examiners and Appeals Form - This form should be filed with the Director of Planning.
